Day 1: Blois - Mosnes

30 km

Your cycling trip begins at Blois, gateway to the Loire castles. You leave the town with a beautiful panorama of its bell towers and its castle. After an escape on the peaceful roads of the alluvial plain, its meadows and its crops, you cycle along the banks of the Cosson to its confluence with the Loire and on a shaded cycle path which leads straight to Chaumont-sur-Loire.

Get off your bike for a few hours, take the time to picnic on the banks of the Loire and observe the birds while watching the river flow gently. First known for its castle, the Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire is today an essential site for its International Garden Festival with its original creations, renewed each year but always poetic, original and inspiring.

Your hike ends at a beautiful mansion 18th nestled in the heart of a wooded park. Go and relax at the spa, make yourself comfortable in the deckchairs, take a seat at the restaurant for dinner and let the evening pass peacefully while already dreaming of your next bike ride.

Option: Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire (included in the Chateaux Package)

Free visit of the castle, the park and the international garden festival.

Day 2: Mosnes - Chenonceau - Amboise

48 km

You go from the banks of the Loire to the banks of the Cher, pedaling in the shade of the Amboise forest and along the Cher: a rejuvenating journey for a total disconnection. At the castle of Chenonceau, let yourself be enchanted by the feminine elegance of the place: the famous gallery bridge spanning the river, a unique work in the world, the historic gardens of Diane de Poitiers and Catherine de Medici.

Continue your journey to the royal city of Amboise. In the streets of the medieval city reigns a summer atmosphere where it is pleasant to stroll, sit on the terrace of a café at the foot of the castle and taste Loire wines at aperitif time.

Optional: Château de Chenonceau (included in the Chateaux Package)

Self-guided visit of the castle and its gardens.

Day 3: Amboise – Tours

28km – 32km – 40km

You enjoy your stage at Amboise to visit a major place in the history of France: the royal castle, with its fortified appearance and yet so Renaissance! In its flamboyant Gothic style chapel rests Leonardo da Vinci. Its gardens are classified as “remarkable gardens” and offer one of the most beautiful panoramas of the Loire Valley. A little further, immerse yourself in the world of Leonardo da Vinci at the Clos Lucé manor which was also his last home.

The bike trip then continues towards the capital of Tours with three routes to choose from:

  • Left bank, via the cycle paths of the vineyards of Montlouis and the Loire.
  • Right bank, via the Vouvray vineyard route then the cycle paths on the banks of the Loire.
  • Through the Amboise forest and along the bucolic banks of the Cher.

Option: Château d’Amboise or Clos Lucé (included in the Chateaux Package)

Free visit to the Royal Château d'Amboise or the Manoir du Clos Lucé.

Each bike is equipped with a handlebar bag, a rear bag (15 or 20 liters) and a helmet. We provide smartphone support and repair kit per reservation. We provide breakdown assistance on all our rental bikes.

Your stay includes the rental of a VTC (all-road bike) adapted to your size or that of your child.

You have the option of opting for a electric bike. With an average range of 80 kilometers, the electric bike allows you to enjoy each stage with ease, whatever the distance and elevation. Note that this type of bike requires a minimum height of 1m55 and maximum of 1m90.
