Day 1: Blois - Chambord - Cheverny

44km

Start this day by bike from Blois along the Loire on a cycle path to experience and feel this magnificent river, its strength and its gentleness, the discourse of the sky and the water, the countless birds, the islands that can be discovered in spring…

Enter the game-filled forest of the Domaine de Chambord and discover the famous Renaissance castle, the hunting rendezvous of François I. Take advantage of a break to explore the many rooms and climb the astonishing double spiral staircase inspired by Leonardo da Vinci to the roof terraces and their forest of chimneys.

Get back in the saddle to reach Cheverny via a greenway in the Boulogne forest and along quiet little roads lined with orchards and vineyards.

Optional: Château de Chambord (included in the Chateaux Package)

Free tour of the castle and French gardens.

Day 2: Cheverny – Blois

27km - 47km

You can start your day with a visit to the Château de Cheverny which, behind its Moulinsart appearance, houses in each of its rooms a rich collection of furniture as well as a permanent and fun exhibition on the world of Tintin.

Then, cycle through the landscapes of Sologne to appreciate its diversity: ponds lined with reed beds, small villages with brick and half-timbered houses, unique scents of the forest... Keep your eyes open, and listen carefully , in this apparent calm life is everywhere…

Another, shorter route allows you to discover the private castles of Beauregard with its astonishing portrait gallery and Troussay, the smallest of the Loire castles.

You cross villages in wine-growing Sologne and cycle in the shade of the magnificent oaks of the Russy forest to reach the banks of the Loire and Blois.

Option: Château de Cheverny (included in the Chateaux Package)

Free visit of the castle, the park and the 6 thematic gardens.
